I was born is Istanbul, do I need a visa to go to a country in europe?

i was born in on the european side of Istanbul, Turkey. I am a citizen i was born there so were my parents. I live in new york so I don't really have a knowledge of these things and i really want to travel to europe sometime and i was jst wondering if I could go and stay there as long as i want
